Note: To make sure your printer functions properly after an extended period of idle time, perform the following steps:
When a printer has been left idle for an extended period of time problems may occur depending on the length of idle time, and environmental factors, such as temperature and humidity. Make sure the printer environment meets specifications. Refer to your printer's environmental specifications for additional information.
Make sure the Toner in the Toner Botle is in good condition and has not solidified or clumped. Carefully remove the Toner Botle and shake it approximately 10 times while holding a towel in the top of the bottle to avoid spillage.
CAUTION: Do not use warm water or cleaning solvents to remove Toner (Dry Ink) from your skin or clothing. This will set the Toner and make it difficult to remove. If any Toner gets on your skin or clothing, use a brush to remove the Toner, or wash it off with cold water and mild soap.
Never use a vacuum cleaner to remove spilled toner. Sparks inside the vacuum cleaner can cause a fire or explosion. To remove spilled toner, use a broom, brush, or a cloth moistened with a neutral detergent.
Note: This procedure will need to be performed on each Toner Botle (Upper and Lower) in configurations with two Toner bottles.Open the Left Front Access Cover and locate the Toner bottle located toward the left side.

Gently shake the bottle side to side approximately 10 times while holding a towel in the top of the bottle to avoid spillage.
Note: A rattling noise that can be heard while gently shaking the bottle indicates the toner may be clumped due to inactivity. Replace the used Toner bottle with a new Toner bottle if:There is a rattling noise that continues with the last few shakes.
There is an indication that the Toner has solidified.
Insert the bottle into the printer and push the bottle fully into its seated position.

Fiery Servers:
Turn the Fiery server on.
Check for any Windows Updates or Fiery system updates through the Fiery Command Workstation, and install as needed. In case updates were installed, reboot the server and leave it ON and in an IDLE state once updates are completed before beginning to print.
Note: Systems that have been turned off for a period of time often will have its Windows OS software attempting to update in the background that could impact performance so it’s a best practice to update the systems prior to starting to print.
