Disable the MICR mode

When the MICR mode is enabled, the Edge Treatment option is not available. This is by design and the MICR (MX) is working as intended.

CAUTION: Edge treatment is used to stop potential problems with Toner. For example, when a job contains a dense image along one edge of the page, the amount of Toner is increased in that region. If excess Toner is located at the edge of the page it can cause paper to wrap onto the Fuser. By default, Edge Treatment is enabled to lighten the image along the lead edge and reduce Toner. Images that extend all the way to the edge and dense images should not be placed at either the right or left edges of the page.

1. From the DocuSP Display Screen, logon as the System Administrator. See the Related Content for additional information.

2. Click on [System] from the menu bar, then click on [MICR mode].

3. Click on the [Disable] radio button. The Edge Treatment will be selectable.

To access Edge Treatment:

1. Click on [Printer] from the menu bar.

2. Click on [Switches] from the pull-down menu. Edge Treatment is located on the top, right of the window.
