Make Sure the Paper is Within Specifications

Damaged or unsupported paper or media can cause jams or print-quality problems even when the printer, application, and print driver are working perfectly. Use the following guidelines to eliminate the paper as the source of the issue:
The printer must support the loaded paper or media, see the Related Content for additional information.
Use only Fresh uncontaminated paper
If the condition of the paper is in doubt, replace it with fresh paper.
Configure the Paper Tray correctly for the Paper used, from the from the control panel, see the Related Content for additional information.
NOTE: The settings for each paper tray must match the actual paper type loaded into each tray, the incorrect weight or paper type settings may cause paper jams or damage the machine.
Also, paper left open in a humid environment often becomes contaminated, the moisture in the air and exposure to light can cause the sheets to become wrinkled, smudged, discolored, even stick to each other. Paper should remain in its sealed packaging until ready to be used.
