Install the v4 PCL or v4 PostScript Print Driver on a Computer with Windows 8 or 10

Prerequisites: This solution requires that you know the Hostname and/or IP Address of the Xerox Printer and that the v4 Print Driver File already be downloaded and available for installation.

Contact your Network administrator if you require assistance with these Prerequisites.
From the computer where you wish to install the v4 Print Driver, click on the Windows Start Menu, type Printers & Scanners and press Enter on the computer keyboard.
Select Devices and Printers from the displayed options.
Select Add a Printer from the top of the page.
Select The Printer that I want isn’t listed.
Select Add a local printer or network printer with manual settings.
Select Create a new port.
Select StandardTCP/IP Port from the Type of Port pulldown.
Select Next.
Enter the Hostname or IP address of the Xerox Printer in the Hostname or IP Address field.
Enter in lower case letters “lp” without the Quotes “” in the Port name field.
Uncheck Query the printer and automatically select the driver to use.
Select Next.
Go to step # 18 unless prompted with the Additional port information required page.
Select Settings.
Select LPR under Protocol.
Enter LP in lower case letters “lp” without the Quotes “” in the LPR Settings/Queue Name field.
Select OK.
Select Have Disk….
Select Browse and navigate the computer to the location where the v4 Print Driver files were extracted.
Select Open when you get to the required folder.
Select OK.
Select your specific printer from the available list and select Next.
Select to Replace the current driver if prompted.
Select Next.
Select Next to accept the default Printer Name or give it a customer name and then select Next.
The v4 Print Drivers will now install
Select Do not share this printer unless you want this computer to be a Print Server for other computers to print through.
Select Next.
Select Print a test page or simply select Finish.
