Enable and Configure LDAP on a DocuColor 242|252|260 Using a Built-In EFI Fiery Controller

NOTE: System Administrator rights are required to perform this solution. LDAP services must be supported on the network.

Pre-requisites:

  • A user name and password for the LDAP server need to be available.

  • The IP address or host name of the LDAP server is required.

  • There must be a Search Base for the LDAP environment. 

To set up LDAP using Command Workstation (CWS):

  1. Log in to CWS as the system Administrator. See the Related Content for additional information.

  2. Click on [Server] on the menu bar, and then select [Setup]. The Fiery configure window will be displayed.

  3. Click on [Network] in the directory tree.

  4. Click on [Services].

  5. Click on [LDAP]. The Configure LDAP button will be displayed on the right side.

  6. Click on [Configure LDAP]. The LDAP Configuration window will be displayed.

  7. Click on the [Enable LDAP] check box.

  8. Enter the IP address or host name of the LDAP server in the field provided.

    NOTE: The default port (389) can by modified, if necessary.

  9. Click on the [Authentication Required] check box.

  10. Select [Automatic] from the [Type] drop-down menu.

  11. Enter the user name, password, and domain in the fields provided.

  12. In the Advanced Options section, enter the Search Base information in the field provided.

  13. Click on [Validate]. A "Validation Successful" message will be displayed.

  14. Click on [OK].

  15. Click on [Apply].

  16. Click on [Reboot] for the changes to take effect.
