NOTE: This solution assumes that the required zip file for this product and the operating system has been downloaded and extracted to a known location on the hard drive or network server. If you have not already done so, download the required zip file.

NOTE: The following steps assume that the Command Workstation (CWS) utility is installed and configured on the computer.

  1. Log in to Command Workstation as an administrator. See the Related Content for additional information.

  2. Click on [File] in the Menu bar, select [Import] from the drop-down menu, and then select [Job]. The Select Files to Import window will be displayed.

  3. Browse to the location of the patch file and select the file.

NOTE: The patch file will have a ".ps" extension.

  4. Click on the [Add] button to move the file to the “Files to be imported” box.

  5. In the Logical Printer field, click on the [Down Arrow] and select [DC2xx direct] from the drop-down menu. The job will be displayed in the Active Jobs Queue.

  6. Wait 60 seconds after the job is no longer in the Active Jobs Queue, and then reboot the server. To reboot the server:

    1. Select [Server] from the Menu bar.

    2. Select [Reboot Server].

NOTE:  Make sure to select [Reboot Server] and not [Restart Server].

  7. Click on [OK] when the warning message is displayed.

  8. The system will begin the reboot and will take approximately four minutes to complete.

  9. Print a Systems Setting Report to confirm that the patch has been installed. (See the Related Content.) The patch should be listed under the System Updates Log section on the last page of the report.
