The paper tray settings must match the job requirements in order for the job to print. Paper tray settings consist of paper size, paper type, paper color and paper orientation. If any of these settings are different than the job requirements, the job will not print.
The paper trays may also be fully adjustable or dedicated paper trays. Fully adjustable paper trays allow you to change the paper size, type, color and orientation at any time. Dedicated paper trays do not allow you to change the settings once they are set unless System Administrator mode is entered to modify the default settings.
If a paper tray is opened and closed and the paper tray is a fully adjustable paper tray, a confirmation screen will be displayed on the Touch Screen. Review the paper tray settings and confirm the settings if correct or modify the settings as required for the paper loaded in the paper tray.
If a paper tray is opened and closed and the paper tray is a dedicated paper tray, the screen displays information identifying the paper size, type and color of paper that should be loaded in the paper tray.
If the wrong size paper is loaded or the paper tray guides are not properly set, a warning message is displayed on the Touch Screen. Intervention is required to adjust the paper tray guides or the default paper tray settings.
