The Xerox Nuvera systems are equipped with a manually adjustable decurler and possibly a Sheet Enhancement Module that help to minimize curl in stacked paper (an upwards or downwards bend).
Adjusting the decurler settings can prevent problems, such as paper jams and skew, and improve print performance.

NOTE: Storing or using paper under humid conditions may increase paper curl. See Handling and Storing Paper. |

CAUTION! |
The Xerox Nuvera 288 Digital Perfecting System is equipped with a Sheet Enhancement Module, located directly to the right of the A2 print engine. This module is used to remove upcurl or downcurl in paper as it passes through the module from either print engine. The amount of decurl applied to a job is set and adjusted at the DocuSP Controller from the Printer menu.
The Xerox Nuvera systems also include a manual Decurl Adjustment knob, or dial, located near the fuser in the print engine. Typically, this decurling knob does not need to be adjusted on the 288 Digital Perfecting System and should remain set at 2 for both print engines.
If you notice excessive upcurl or downcurl in the paper in the stacked output, change the Sheet Enhancement Module's setting at the DocuSP interface to achieve the amount of sheet flatness you need. As the paper passes through the Sheet Enhancement Module, the SEM will apply the settings selected at the DocuSP Controller to flatten the paper before it reaches the stacker.

NOTE: It is recommended that you only use the Sheet Enhancement Module and do not adjust the manual Decurler Knob, or dial, located in both print engines. By default, the Sheet Enhancement Module is set at +3 for compensating slight upcurl and the Decurler Knob is set at 2. |
You do not need to pause the job before selecting and applying the Sheet Enhancement Module settings.
