    1. Select the Start icon on the bottom left of your screen, select Control Panel, and then select Devices and Printers.

    2. Right-click the printer in question and select See what’s printing.

    3. From the window that opens, select Printer from the menu bar at the top.

    4. Select Use Printer Online from the drop-down menu.

  2. Disable SNMP in the printer port settings:

    Note:
The instructions listed will not work with WSD ports, USB ports, or Macintosh ports.

    1. Select the Start icon on the bottom left of your screen, select Control Panel, and then select Devices and Printers.

    2. Right-click on the printer in question and select printer properties.

    3. Click on the Ports tab at the top.

    4. Select the port to work with; and then click on the Configure Port button.

    5. Uncheck the box for SNMP status enabled.

    6. Click on OK.

  3. If connected via a USB cable, try a new USB cable.  The USB cable should be one single cable that is shorter than 12 feet in length.

  4. Make sure the USB cable is connected directly from the computer to the printer. Do not connect the printer to a USB hub for connectivity as it is not supported and can cause communication issues.

  5. If connected via a Wi-Fi Ethernet network, print a configuration page to verify that the printer is connected to the correct Wi-Fi network.  If it is not, reconnect the printer to the correct Wi-Fi Ethernet network. For details, refer to Connect the Printer to a Wireless (Wi-Fi) Network Using the Xerox Easy Wireless Setup Program.

  6. If connected via Wired Ethernet, try a different Ethernet cable and verify that the port that the printer is connected to is working.

  7. If the problem persists, contact Support for additional assistance.
