Install the Microsoft Windows 7, 8 or 10 Print Driver for a Device Using an EFI Fiery

Download the Driver from the EFI Website:
Open a Web Browser, type www.efi.com into the Address bar and press Enter.
Select the Support & Downloads dropdown.
Select Downloads.
Scroll down to Fiery Products.
Select Fiery Drivers and Utilities.
Complete the Download Registration form and select Submit.
Select Xerox from the Partner list.
Select the Printer Model (ie: Altalink C8100 Series).
Select the version of the Fiery driver required by the device.
Select the driver matching the version of Windows installed on the PC.
Select Find.
Scroll down to the required driver.
Select Download.
Select Accept to download the driver.
Install the Driver using the Fiery Driver Installer utility:
Locate the downloaded file in the web browsers downloads folder.
Select and open the downloaded compressed file.
Select and open the file named prntdrv.exe contained within the compressed file. The Install Wizard will now run.
Select a Destination Folder to extract the file. (Default: C:\Prntdrvr )
Select Install.
Select the required Language from the Driver Language dropdown.
Select Next.
Select Next.
Read the Software License Agreement and select the I accept the terms of the license agreement radio button.
Select Next. The Windows Add Printer wizard will appear.
Select Add a local printer or network printer with manual settings.
Select the Create a new port radio button.
Select Standard TCP/IP Port from the Type of Port dropdown.
Type in the IP Address or Hostname of the Fiery into the Hostname or IP address field. The Port name field will populate automatically.
Uncheck the box next to Query the printer to automatically select the driver to use.
Select Next.
Select the driver named Xerox AltaLink C8100Series EFI.
NOTE: Use the Have Disk button and navigate to the extracted driver (ie: C:\Prntdrvr ) and select the contained driver *.inf if the Xerox Altalink C8100Series EFI driver does not appear.Select Next.
Enter a Name to identify the printer into the Printer name field.
Select Next.
Select Do not share this printer.
Select Next.
Select the Set as the Default Printer button if this will be the default printer.
Select Finish.
Customize the IP Port for the Fiery Print or Hold queues:
Open the Start Menu.
Type Control into the search field.
Select the Control Panel.
Select Devices and Printers or View Devices and Printers.
Right click on the EFI Print driver and select Printer Properties.
Select the Ports tab.
The required port will already be selected. Select Configure Port.
Select LPR in the Protocol section.
Enter the Required Queue name into the LPR Settings Queue Name field:
Print - Jobs submitted are printed automatically.
Hold - Jobs are Held until released at the Printer or from Fiery Command Workstation.
NOTE: The custom queue name can also be entered if printing to a customized queue such as a Hot Folder.
Uncheck the box for LPR Byte Counting Enabled.
Uncheck the box for SNMP Status Enabled.
Select OK.
Select Apply to save changes.
Select OK.
