Replace the Staple Refill Cassette for Saddle Stitching

When you run out of staples for the saddle-stitcher, you can replace the staple cassette without having to replace the entire staple cartridge. To replace the staple cassette with a refill:

1. Remove the staple cartridge as directed in Replace the Booklet Staple Cartridge for Saddle Stitching.

2. To open the staple cartridge, squeeze the small tabs on either side of the cartridge. The staple cartridge opens.
   
   
   
   
   
   

3. To prepare the cartridge for the removal of the empty staple cassette, position the top part of the cartridge under the lower part of the cartridge.
   
   
   
   

4. To remove the empty staple cassette, hold the staple cassette on both ends. Press in the tab on the end of the staple cassette that has arrows on the sides and lift the cassette out of the cartridge.
   
   
   
   

5. To install the staple refill cassette into the cartridge, place the tab on the end of the staple refill cassette into the small hole in the cartridge.  Press the staple cassette firmly into the cartridge until it clicks into place.
   
   
   
   

6. Replace the staple cartridge into the printer as directed in Replace the Booklet Staple Cartridge for Saddle Stitching.
