  1. Check to see if there is any paper or debris inside the printer.

  2. Use paper within specifications for the printer. Refer to Paper and Paper Tray Specifications.

  3. Make sure the paper tray settings are properly configured for the paper size and type loaded in each tray. Refer to Modify the Paper Tray Settings From the Control Panel if needed.

  4. Verify that the paper tray guides are against the edges of the paper loaded in the paper tray or in the document feeder. The paper trays accommodate standard paper sizes. If you are using non-standard paper sizes, load the paper in the bypass tray.

  5. Try fanning and flipping the paper over in the tray, and/or a new ream of paper.

  6. Clean the feed rollers in the affected tray.

  7. Reseat the transfer roller.

  8. Replace the feed rollers in the affected tray.

  9. If the problem persists, contact Support for additional assistance.
