How To Install the Specialty Dry Ink / Toner Cartridges in Stations 1 or 6

Caution: When you perform this procedure, wear protective gloves. Failure to use gloves can result in image quality issues related to the Drum Module.
Position the storage cart that has the new, unused specialty dry ink/toner in front of Station 1 or 6.
To catch excess dry ink/toner, extend the tray.
Caution: Use caution when pushing down to engage the Foot Brake.
To prevent the cart from moving, press down on the cart Foot Brake.
Raise the top cover of the cart.
Caution: For the following step, when the bottom Door Latch releases, the door drops suddenly. Hold the door handle and slide the door down into position.At the cart, hold the door handle, release the Door Latch, and slide the door down into position.
Retrieve the Station 1 or 6 Dispenser Assembly from the cart and position it on top of the frame.
Lift the front of the Dispenser Assembly and slide it into the press, up to the black latch.
To release the Auger Assembly, keep the front of the assembly lifted and push down on the black latch to lock it into place. Slide the assembly fully into the press.
Access the screws from the cart bin and secure the Auger Assembly with the three screws.
Retrieve the new dry ink/toner cartridge from the cart and install it in the housing assembly.
To install the Xerographic Marking Module, slide out the two rails of the module for Station 1 or 6 until they lock into position.
Caution: Due to the height and weight of the Module, use a step stool to perform the following procedure.
Retrieve the Xerographic Marking Module assembly from the cart and place on top of the rails. Slide it on top of the rails and into the press, up to the Service position.
Lock the assembly into position. Retrieve the screws from the cart tool bin and secure the assembly to the rails with the two shoulder screws.
To replace the Drum Cartridge, locate the cartridge in the protective bag on the storage cart, and remove it from the bag.
At the side of the Xerographic Marking Module, install the Drum Cartridge into the module and move the cartridge toward the back of the module, then down.
Engage the Drum Cartridge Retaining Latch counterclockwise and release the Front Drum Guide clockwise.
Release the rail locks and push the Xerographic Marking Module into the press.
Caution: To prevent damage to the Drum and to prevent the Drum from turning, hold the knob assembly when tightening the lower screw inside the assembly.
Ensure that the top and bottom of the Xerographic Marking Module is seated fully. Tighten the three module screws: the two screws at the top and the lower screw inside the knob assembly.
From the storage cart, retrieve the Charge Corotron with the Corotron Assist Tool.
On the Xerographic Marking Module faceplate, push the Corotron Assist Tool into the two pins.
Install the Charge Corotron by releasing the pin on the Corotron and sliding the Corotron along the tool and into the press.
Remove the Corotron Assist Tool from the faceplate and store in the compartment behind the left top dry ink/toner door. The Corotron snaps into place.
If you changed the dry ink/toner in Station 6, install the Flywheel. Retrieve the two screws from the cart and tighten the screws on the Flywheel.
Close the top cover of the storage cart, push in the tray, and release the cart Foot Brake. Move the storage cart to a secure location.
Engage the Latch Bar on the Transfer Drawer and lock it.
Latch the Paper Path Module by setting the green Locking Handle 3 to the Lock position.
To install the IBT Cover and the Xerographic Marking Module Cover, lift the covers and slide the covers in. Tighten the three upper screws and three lower screws of the covers.
Close the front doors on the press.
IMPORTANT: Make sure to power off the press, wait 20 seconds, then power on the press after installing. If this is not done, various issues can occur. This ensures a clean start after the swap out of toners.Power Off the press and wait 20 seconds.
Power On the press. The press reboots. It is possible that the following error message appears. If so, ignore it and close the message window.
Note: During the reboot, the following message appears. It displays up to 10 minutes for each newly installed color station. If you replaced two color stations at one time, you could wait up to 20 minutes for the press reboot to complete.After the system reboot completes, the press restarts and the current specialty dry ink graphic appears on the press Control Center.
