Verify the Folder Is Shared and the Permissions On the Shared Folder Is Set To Full Control
When scanning using the Server Message Block (SMB) protocol, receiving a printed transmission report result of Completed with an Error (027-513): Client has no right to access. This fault code can be caused by not having access to write data to the shared folder that is located on the SMB server/PC. Verify that the folder is shared and has adequate permissions assigned.
IMPORTANT: To perform this solution, you must have administrative access to the SMB server. If necessary, contact your System Administrator for assistance.
At the computer, Select the Folder that was created where the scanned images will be deposited and right click and select Properties
Click on the Sharing tab
Click on Advanced Sharing
Select Sharing tab
Select Advanced Sharing button
Place a check mark in the box next to Share this folder (if necessary)
Select Permissions button
Place a check mark in the box next to Full Control in the Allow column in the Permissions for Everyone section.
Click on Apply and then OK
Click on Apply and then OK
Select Security tab and verify scan user has proper permissions to login and deposit images into the folder.
If scan user is not listed, select Edit and then Add to grant the scan user the permissions to the folder. In the Enter the object names to select, section type the user name in the field provided and select Check Names and set the permissions (i.e. Full Control).
Select Apply and then OK
Select Close
