NOTE: A "Syntax Error Offending Command" error message on a Printout is a type of PostScript Error. This can be caused by a Corrupt Print Driver or a Network Communication Issue causing a Corrupt Print Job.

To Correct this issue, perform the following steps for your Operating System.

Microsoft Windows:

  1. Make Sure the Print Driver is Configured Using the LPR Protocol.

  2. Create a New TCP/IP Port in the Windows Print Driver.

  3. Completely Remove and Reinstall the PostScript Print Driver.

  4. Remove Driver and Reinstall using the PCL6 Print Driver.

Mac OS X:

NOTE: Mac OS X requires a PostScript Driver to Print.

  1. Remove the Print Driver and Driver Library Files from the Mac.

  2. Install the Print Driver Using Manual Settings.
