Reset the Printer Remotely Using the Embedded Web Server

Using Software Resets to restart the printer is faster and wastes fewer consumables than powering the printer on and off. Restarting the printer can take up to five minutes during which time Embedded Web Server is not available.
Note: There are different methods that may be used to restart the printer. Select your required method to restart the printer.
Restart the Printer From the Control Panel:
Login as System Administrator at the Control Panel. Refer to Login or Logout as System Administrator from the Control Panel.
At the control panel touch screen, touch Device, then touch Tools.
Touch Troubleshooting.
Touch Resets.
Touch Software Resets.
For Reset Options, select the type of reset that you want.
All Software
Note: The All Software option has the same function as pressing Power on the device and then touching Restart.Network Software
Copy Software
Touch Restart.
Restart the Printer Using the Embedded Web Server:
Access the Embedded Web Server and if necessary, login as System Administrator. Refer to Access the Embedded Web Server.
In the Embedded Web Server, click Home.
At the bottom of the page, click Reboot Device, then click OK.
Notes:
If your device is locked, type the system administrator user name and password to access the Properties tab. The administrator user name is admin and depending on the software version installed on the device, the default administrator password may be the device serial number or 1111. The password is case sensitive.
This procedure causes the device to restart and be unavailable over the network for several minutes.
