Replace the Drum Cartridge

Procedure:

NOTE: The images provided are for demonstration purposes only and may vary slightly from your printer.

1. Open the front door of the printer.

2. Slide the toner lock lever up to the unlocked position. Push until you hear it click into the unlocked position.
   
   
   
   

3. While holding the drum cartridge in place, grasp the handle for the toner cartridge and pull it towards you to remove it from the drum cartridge. Set the toner cartridge aside.
   
   
   
   

4. Remove the drum cartridge from the machine by pulling on the cartridge handle and then grasping the yellow colored handle. Recycle the used cartridge.
   
   

5. Remove the new cartridge from its packaging and then carefully remove the protective shield from the drum.
   
   CAUTION: Do not leave the drum exposed to light for more than 5 minutes.
   
   

6. Slide the new cartridge into the machine. You will hear it click into position.

7. Reinstall the toner cartridge into the drum cartridge. Make sure the toner cartridge is installed all the way.

8. Slide the toner cartridge lever down to the locked position.
   
   
   
   

9. Close the front door.
