WARNING: Follow the correct sequence for shutting down the press as the Fuser retains heat for an extended period. It is critical that the correct shutdown sequence is followed. If the correct sequence is not followed, the heat from the fuser can be transferred to the toner system, located above the fuser, causing the toner to melt.

  1. Power the device off using the power wwitch on the top of the printer. Cooling fans will continue to run during press shutdown.

  2. Allow the printer to power down completely. Lights on the touch screen and cooling fans will power down when the shutdown is complete.

  3. Open the front door of the printer.

  4. Switch the internal power switch to the Off position.

  5. Leave the printer powered off for 5 minutes.

  6. Switch the internal power switch back On.

  7. Power the printer on with the external power switch, and allow the printer to completely boot up to a ready state.
