Issue

The UI touch behavior is exhibiting abnormal and seemingly random issues, including:

  • Inconsistent scrolling with one finger

  • The screen may zoom in or make unintended selections even when your finger is not lifted.

  • Delayed responses, requiring a prolonged press for a selection to register.

Cause

The UI panel performs self-calibration during the powering on or waking from sleep. If the UI touchscreen is pressed during this auto-calibration, it can lead to impacted calibration and undesired touch behaviors.

Resolution

  1. Press the Power Button and Select Sleep.

    • Note: If unable to select sleep

      • Hold the power button until the device powers off.

      • After the device has powered off, power the device on.

      • Do not touch the screen while the device is powering on.

  2. Wake the Device by Either

    • Pressing the power button on the control panel

    • Activating the proximity sensor by walking in front of it.

Important: Do not press the UI touchscreen while the device is waking from sleep mode.

3. If the Issue Remains after performing the above Contact Support for Further assistance.
