How to Configure Scan to Email (SMTP)

Note: Gmail, Yahoo, iCloud and Microsoft 365 will need an app password for the printer to use when scanning to email. These will have to be generated in the account security settings before you can set up scan to email on the printer.
Using the email setup wizard at the control panel
Note: DNS settings must also be configured before using the email setup wizard. See related content.
Log in as admin.
From the home screen, select Device > Tools > App Settings > Email App > Email Setup
Press Account Provider and choose from the following service providers: Gmail, iCloud, Microsoft 365, Yahoo Mail, Other Email Account.
Other Email Account will let you manually specify the Host Name, Port, and Encryption.
Choosing One login for all messages will store the username and password on the device.
Enter the email address and the password.
Press Test Connection at the bottom, enter an recipient email address, and press next.
Once the account has been verified, you will see a message that your account has been verified, then press continue.
Configure email settings in the Embedded Web Server, on the Email Setup page. Email settings apply to other apps that use SMTP.
Access the Embedded Web Server from the control panel or a computer.
In the Embedded Web Server, click Properties > Apps > Email > Setup.
Click the Required Settings tab.
Click Edit for the SMTP settings.
Enter a Host Name/IP and Port in the Required Information section and press apply
The port must match the encryption type being used.

Click Edit for the SMTP settings, then select SMTP Authentication.
Select Device for both User Jobs and System Jobs.
Enter the Login Name and enter the password in both the Password and Retype password fields, then click Apply.
Click Edit for the SMTP settings, then select Connection Encryption.
Select the encryption being used by the SMTP server and click Apply.
Click Edit for the From Field and enter the Default From address, then click Save.
