Replace Feed Rollers Tray 1-4

Instructions

 

Note: Replace the Feed, Nudger, and Retard Rollers at the same time. 

Note: To perform this procedure, the feed roll kit is required, contact support. The kit contains all the required items for replacing the feed rolls.

CAUTION: To avoid possible injury, do not touch any sharp edges inside the device.

  1. At the printer control panel, press the Power/Wake button.

  2. Touch Power Off.

  3. Unplug the printer.

    NOTE: If the printer does not respond to a single press of the Power/Wake button, then press and hold the button for 5 seconds. A please wait message is displayed while the printer powers down. After 10 seconds, the touch screen goes dark and the Power/Wake button flashes until the printer has completed powering down.

  4. Open the front door.

  5. Switch the main power switch to the Off position.

  6. Pull out the paper tray until it stops.

  7. Slightly lift up on the paper tray and slightly pull to the right. The left side of the tray should come out first.

  8. Slide the chute guide toward the front of the Printer.

    NOTE: The chute guide will move back to its original position after the rollers are replaced and the paper tray is re-inserted.

  9. Gently pull the amber locking tab away from the metal shaft, and then pull on the roller to remove it from the Printer.

  10. Swap the paper tray feed rollers to validate if there is any issue.

  11. Slide the new roller onto the metal shaft until the roller locks into place with the locking tab.

  12. Line up the left side of the paper tray with the tray location on the machine and slightly lift up on the tray placing the left side in first. When both the left and right side of the tray are lined up, lower the tray the gently push the tray in until it is closed.

  13. Plug back the printer.

  14. Press the power switch again to power on the printer.
