Issue

Cannot successfully authenticate to the printer when accessing Device Settings within the Xerox Easy Assist App.

The initial install of the printer was completed successfully from the printer's local user interface (the control panel), but the user name associated with the printer's administrator account was something other than "admin".

  • Missing username, or username is not "admin" or "Admin".

  • Password does not match what is being entered within the app.

Note: if you do not remember changing the password, the default password is the printer’s serial number.

  • Administrative permissions are not associated with the administrator account.
