Configuring Xerox Workplace Cloud for Mac 1.1

  1. Login as an Administrator.

  2. Click Account > Settings > Desktop Printing > Local Print Optimization.

  3. Select one of the configurable options:

    • Disabled -  When the Print Optimization setting is set to Disabled in the Cloud Web Portal, the Client sends all the jobs to the Cloud Service. When jobs are released from the @PrintByXerox EIP App, Printer device retrieves the jobs from the Cloud for printing.

    • Enabled without Cloud Backup -  When the Print Optimization setting is set to Enabled without Cloud Backup, the Client store all jobs locally on the user workstation. When the jobs are released from the @PrintByXerox EIP App. Printer device receives jobs from the user workstation for printing.

    • Enabled with Cloud Backup - When the Print Optimization setting is set to Enabled with Cloud Backup, the Client stores a local copy of the job, then sends a backup to the cloud service. When the jobs are released from the @PrintByXerox EIP App, the Workplace Cloud solution attempts to send the local copy of the job to the printer device first, then if there is a connection issue from the local workstation to the printer. The printer device receives a Cloud copy for printing.

    • Maximum File Size for Backup - Print Optimization setting supports Maximum File Size for Backup option. When this option is disabled, all the jobs are sent to the Cloud service for backup. You can specify the maximum file size, when Maximum File Size for Backup option is enabled to send to the Cloud service. If the print jobs are larger than the configured maximum size, Cloud does not backup the print jobs. The print job is stored locally on the user workstation.

There are two options in Maximum File Size for Backup:

      • Disabled

      • Enabled
