By default, Xerox print drivers remember secure print passcodes. The first time a user prints a secure print job, the driver prompts the user for a passcode and then saves it. When the user prints another secure print job, the driver will not prompt the user for a passcode, instead it will reuse the saved passcode.

In an workspace where multiple users print from the same user account, this may not be desirable behavior. Advanced Secure Print allows passcodes to expire. When a passcode expires, the driver will prompt the user to enter a new passcode.

Advanced Secure Print must be enabled on each client.

  6. Enter 'code2' in the Special Feature Code field, which is case sensitive, then select Set.

  7. Select Advanced Secure Print.

  8. Select Setup.

  9. To prompt for a passcode with every print, set the following options:

  11. Select Close to enable the Special Feature.
