  1. Open the Printers window.

CAUTION: All pending print jobs must be deleted from the print queue prior to removing the printer. If necessary, contact your System Administrator for assistance.

If the computer is connected to the printer via USB, disconnect the USB cable from the printer after all pending print jobs have been deleted before continuing with the steps below. Do not reconnect the USB cable to the printer until all of the steps below have been completed successfully.

NOTE: To delete the printer on a Windows Vista OS with User Access Control (UAC) enabled, right-click on the printer to be removed, select [Delete], select [Run as Administrator], and then click on [Continue].

  3. Repeat step 2 to delete any other printer icons that use the X-GPD. Continue with step 4 after all printers that use the X-GPD have been deleted.

NOTE: For Windows Vista with UAC enabled, right-click anywhere inside the Printer window, select [Run as Administrator], and then click on [Continue].

  5. Click on the [Drivers] tab.

Click on [Delete], and then click on [OK].

NOTE: If the files were deleted successfully, continue with step 7. If the summary window states that the files cannot be deleted as they are in use, restart the computer (to stop and restart the print spooler), and then continue with step 3 above.
