NOTE: The Run EIP Wizard button will only be available after registering a device.

  1. To assist with enablement of EIP on a device, an EIP Wizard may be used to enable the various settings required for EIP. Select the device and click on the Run EIP Wizard button.

NOTE: If one or more settings cannot be automatically configured with the wizard, instructions will be provided to assist with manual configuration of the settings. When the instructions have been followed, the device should be EIP enabled.

  2. When the wizard has finished enabling EIP, a message will be displayed indicating that the EIP registration will be tried again automatically. If registering multiple devices or registration fails, click on the Register button again to register the device. If for any reason the device cannot be enabled after following the instructions, run the EIP Wizard again. It is possible to skip a required step in enabling a service.

IMPORTANT: Not all Xerox devices have EIP enabled by default or EIP may have been previously disabled. If EIP is not enabled on the device then the device will fail registration.

The EIP Wizard will walk you through several steps that will enable EIP Settings. It will attempt to automatically enable EIP. If it cannot automatically enable EIP it will present you with instructions to follow to enable EIP for your device. Please follow the instructions in the EIP Wizard carefully before contacting support.

The EIP Wizard enablement process may reboot your device automatically. Please wait until the device is fully back online before continuing the wizard when a restart is needed. Once the wizard has finished running, your device should be EIP enabled. ConnectKey will attempt to register the device again.
