Connect the Printer to WPA/WPA2 Enterprise Wireless Networks

Enterprise Wireless configuration must be completed from the device’s Embedded Web Server and requires configuration of both 802.1X and Wireless settings.

Note: Wireless networks that support Enterprise Wi-Fi may be discoverable via the Local Printer Panel Wi-Fi wizard. While the network can be selected, the connection will not succeed since the complete configuration options are not available from this interface. Please only use the device’s Embedded Web Server to configure Enterprise Wi-Fi configurations.

  1. Determine the Enterprise network’s name (SSID) and security parameters
    • SSID

    • Security Mode

    • WPA/WPA2 Enterprise

    • WPA2 Enterprise

    • Authentication Method and Credentials, including any required certificates

  2. Temporarily setup the devices on an Ethernet (wired) network.

  3. Access the Embedded Web Server.

  4. Setup Certificates (if required by the network). For details, refer toCreate a Printer Security CertificateandManage Security Certificates.

  5. Configure 802.1x Authentication.

  6. Setup wireless from the Embedded Web Server for Enterprise (802.1X).

    • Enter the Wireless Network Name (SSID) exactly. Note: Ensure that you type the correct network name.

    • Configure the Wireless Security Mode for 802.1X Radius

    • Configure the 802.1X Encryption Mode

    • WPA+ -> WPA/WPA2 Enterprise

    • WPA2 -> WPA2 Enterprise

  7. In the Network Overview settings, switch the Active Adapter to Wireless. Device reboots and will connect to Enterprise wireless network.
