Remove the Paper Jam in Tray 5 (Bypass Tray)

  1. Locate Tray 5.

  2. Open the Tray Guides to their widest extent.

  3. Remove any paper currently inserted into the tray.

    Remove Paper

  4. Check the paper feed entrance area and remove any jammed paper.

  5. Examine the inlet of Tray 5 for any foreign objects, dirt, debris or paper.

  6. Remove any obstructions inside the tray.

    NOTE: If paper is torn, make sure to remove any paper fragments from inside the machine.
    Fold a piece of cardstock lengthwise and push it through the opening to push little bits of paper and debris out.

  7. Open the Tray 5 Cover.

    Open Bypass Cover

  8. Check the Tray 5 Cover area and Remove any jammed paper.
    NOTE: If paper is torn, make sure to remove any paper fragments from inside the machine.

    Remove Jam

  9. Close the Tray 5 Cover.

  10. Fan the paper to be loaded in the tray and make sure that all four corners are neatly aligned.

  11. Load the paper into the tray with the printing side facing up until its lead edge lightly touches the paper feed entrance.

  12. Confirm the Paper Tray settings at the Device Touchscreen.
