Determine the Status of Consumables

NOTE: The status of consumables can be viewed on the Supplies tab. It is recommended to have a supply of these items available to eliminate downtime an item needs to be replaced.

Customer Replaceable Units (CRUs):

• Toner / Dry Ink Cartridges

  • Black Toner Cartridge

  • Cyan Toner Cartridge

  • Magenta Toner Cartridge

  • Yellow Toner Cartridge

• Drum Cartridges

  • Black Drum Cartridge

  • Cyan Drum Cartridge

  • Magenta Drum Cartridge

  • Yellow Drum Cartridge

• Other CRUs

  • Toner Waste Bottle

  • Fuser Module

The status of consumables is displayed as one of the following:

• Ready

• Order New

• Replace Now

• Other Indications

For Toner (Dry Ink), the remaining Toner is displayed on a gauge as a percentage, from 0% to 100%.

The printer Touch Screen will indicate when it is time to order and/or install a CRU. With some CRUs, the Touch Screen indicates that the printer may continue to run copy or print jobs without immediately replacing the CRU. When it is time to replace the item, a message appears on the Touch Screen, and the printer stops running.
