Load Paper Trays 1, 2, 3, and 4 and Configure the Tray Settings on the Touch Screen

Paper Trays 1 and 2
Open the required paper tray.
Fan the paper before loading it into the tray.
Insert the paper into the tray and make sure it is positioned tightly against the left side of the tray. Do not load paper above the maximum fill line.
Adjust the paper edge guides so that they just touch the edge of the paper stack. To position the edge guides, squeeze the clamp mechanism on the guide and slide the guide to the edge of the paper.
Gently close the paper tray.
Make sure the paper tray settings match the paper loaded in the tray.
Select the [Confirm] button on the Touch Screen if tray settings match, or select the [Change Settings] button if they do not match and continue with the next step.
Select [Size], and then select the size of paper loaded in the tray.
Select [Type], and then select the type of paper loaded in the tray.
NOTE: If the paper type is not listed, select [Other Media Selections] for an expanded list of paper types.Select [Color], and then select the color of paper loaded in the tray.
Select the [Confirm] button.
Paper Trays 3 and 4
Open the paper tray.
Fan the paper before loading it into the tray.
Insert the paper into the tray, making sure it is positioned tightly against the left side of the tray. Do not load paper above the maximum fill line.
NOTE: Load pre-formatted paper, including letterhead and pre-printed paper, face-up with the top towards the front of the machine. Load hole-punched (drilled) paper with the holes on the trailing edge. Trays 3 and 4 cannot be used for envelopes or tabbed media. pMake sure the aper edge guide just touches the edge of the paper stack. To position the guide, squeeze the clamp mechanism on the guide and slide the guide to the edge of the paper.
Gently close the paper tray. When the tray elevator has risen, the paper tray is ready for use.
Make sure the paper tray settings match the paper loaded in the tray.
Select the [Confirm] button on the Touch Screen if tray settings match, or select the [Change Settings] button if they do not match and continue with the next step.
Select [Size], and then select the size of paper loaded in the tray.
Select [Type], and then select the type of paper loaded in the tray.

Select the [Confirm] button.
