To isolate the problem, determine whether or not the same print job will print from another computer, if a print job will print successfully from a different application on the same computer, or if a different file will print successfully from the same application and computer. Identify the source of the problem by following the steps below, in sequence:
Attempt to print the same file from another computer on the same network.
If the file prints successfully, contact a System or Network Administrator to troubleshoot connection problems on the computer that is unable to print. Resolution may require that the print driver is re-installed. Network connectivity should be tested with a "ping" command. See the Related Content for additional information.
If the file does not print successfully from another computer, proceed with step 2.Attempt to print a different file from the same application. (This can be done from any computer since it has been determined that the problem exists from more than one computer.)
If the file prints successfully, the original file is likely the source of the problem. Files occasionally are corrupted after multiple saves or modifications. Try re-saving the file with a different file name. If the file still will not print, it may be necessary to delete images or graphics that may have become corrupt, or copy and paste the content into a new file and save.
If the file does not print successfully, proceed with step 3.Attempt to print a file from a different application. (This can be done from any computer since it has been determined that the problem exists from more than one computer.)
If the file prints successfully, contact a System or Network Administrator to troubleshoot printing problems with the original application that did not print successfully. It may be necessary to contact the third party software vendor for additional assistance.
