Power Off / Power On the Machine (Partial Reset or Full Reset)

CAUTION: Before powering off the machine make sure that all copy or printing jobs have completely finished and make sure that the On-Line indicator is not lit. Any data that is being processed will be lost.

For a Partial Reset, perform the Power Off and Power On procedure below:

  1. Power Off the Machine .

  2. Power On the Machine .

 For Jams and Fault Codes, perform a Full Reset:

To power off the printer:

  1. Slide your finger under the clear plastic cover on the right, front corner of the machine.

  2. Press the power switch to the off (O) position.




  3. To continue to power off the Main Power, make sure that the Touch Screen is blank and the Energy Saver button is not lit up.

  4. Open the Front Door.




  5. Press the main power switch to the zero [0] position to switch the main power off. The main power indicator on the Control Panel will turn off.

  6. Close the Front Door.

To power on the printer:

NOTE: After turning the power on, the machine takes approximately 3 minutes to warm up before you can start making copies.

  1. Open the Front Door.

  2. Press the main power switch to upright position (I).

  3. Close the Front Door.

  4. Slide your finger under the clear plastic cover on the right, front corner of the machine.

  5. Press the power switch to the on position. The Please wait... message indicates that the machine is warming up. The machine cannot be used while it is warming up.
