Format Disk Drive

IMPORTANT: You will lose stored jobs and mail boxes, but due to the hard disk failure, these features are already corrupted.

Instructions as an Administrator:

  1. Login as a System Administrator. See the Related Content for additional information.

  2. Press the [Machine Information] button.

  3. Select the [Tools] tab on the Touch Screen.

  4. Select [Maintenance].

  5. Select [Initialize Hard Disk]. This will reformat the image portion of your hard disk.

Instructions if you are not an Administrator:

  1. Make sure that the machine has stopped copying / printing, then open the Right Door on the Finisher.

  2. Power off the machine. See the Related Content for additional information.

  3. Power on the machine. See the Related Content for additional information.

  4. While the printer is powering up, simultaneously hold down the [Power Saver / Energy Saver], [Stop], and [4] buttons on the Control Panel to reformat the hard drive.
