Power Off / Power On the Machine

CAUTION: Before powering OFF the machine make sure that all copy or print jobs have completely finished and make sure that the On-Line indicator is not lit. Do not power OFF the machine before copy / print jobs are complete. Any data that is being processed will be lost.

NOTE: The power OFF process continues internally after the power switch is in the OFF (O) position. Therefore, do not immediately disconnect the power cord from the power outlet. If you have powered OFF the machine, wait 2 minutes before powering ON the machine.

Never power OFF the machine while:

• data is being received.

• jobs are being printed.

• jobs are being copied.

• a scan is being executed.

To power OFF:

1. Lift up the clear plastic cover on the right front corner of the machine.
   
   
   
   

2. Press the power switch to the OFF (O) position.
   
   
   
   

3. Close the cover.

To power ON:

NOTE: The machine takes approximately five minutes to warm up, after which time copies can be made. Power OFF the machine at the end of the day or when it is not in use for a long period of time.

1. Lift up the clear plastic cover on the right front corner of the machine.

2. Press the power switch to the ON (|) position.

3. Close the cover. A status bar or a 'Please wait...' message will be displayed on the Touch Screen to indicate that the machine is warming up.
