Configure the Hole Punch Option in the Print Driver on a Computer With a Microsoft Windows OS

NOTE: If options are missing or unavailable (grayed out) in the printer properties, make sure the option is selected in the installable options section of the print driver.
Open the Printers or Printers and Faxes window. See the Related Content for additional information.
Right-click the printer and select [Properties] from the menu. The Properties window will be displayed.
Click on the [Configuration] tab.
Click on the [Installable Options] button. The Installable Options window will be displayed. If the installable options are unavailable (grayed out), continue with step 5. If the installable options are available, skip to step 11.
Click on [OK] to close the Installable Options window.
Click on [Bi-Directional Setup]. The Bi-Directional Communication window will be displayed.
Click on the [Off] radio button.
Click on [OK].
Click on [Apply] if available, and then click on [OK].
Repeat steps 2 - 4.
Select one of the following options from the Finisher / Output Tray pull-down menu:
Advanced Office Finisher
Professional Finisher
NOTE: The Offset Catch Tray and Office Finisher options will not support the hole punch functionality.
Select one of the following options from the HolePunch Unit pull-down menu:
[Not Installed]
[2 and 4 Hole Punch Unit]
[3 Hole Punch Unit]
[4 Hole Punch Unit]
Click on [OK].
Click on [Apply] if available, and then click on [OK].
Close the Printers or Printers and Faxes window.
