The following are the top reasons why paper jams occur:

  • unsupported paper/media is used.

  • incorrect paper settings in the tray and/or the print driver.

  • paper loaded incorrectly and/or paper edge guides not adjusted properly in the tray.

  • humidity and/or paper condition and storage. Use a fresh ream of paper.

  1. Clear the Paper Jam Behind Cover A.

  2. Clear Paper Jam in Fuser.

  3. Power the Printer Off and On.

  4. Upgrade Firmware to General Release Software 53.3.51 or Higher.

  5. Replace the Bias Transfer Roller (BTR).

  6. If the problem persists, contact Support for additional assistance.
