Configure the TWAIN Scan Driver on a Computer With a Microsoft Windows OS

NOTE: The TWAIN Scan Driver is configured by the Microsoft Windows Scanner and Camera wizard. The operating system determines the scan location on the computer; this cannot be modified by the user.
Before the Twain Scanner Template will display on the printer, the following has to be performed:
A Digital Certificate has to be created.
SSL must be enabled.
Scan Template Management must be enabled.
To install the TWAIN driver:
If necessary, click on the [Drivers and Downloads] link under the Related Content section to download a print driver. The Drivers and Downloads window will be displayed.
Click on the [TWAIN Scan Driver] in the list of drivers. The Software License Agreement window will be displayed.
Read the license agreement, and then click on [Accept]. A File Download window will be displayed.
Click on [Save]. A Save As window will be displayed.
Browse to the location (folder) where the file will be saved, and then click on [Save]. The Download Complete window will be displayed.
Open the file that was downloaded (in .zip format), and extract the contents within the zip file to a folder using an extraction utility.
Click on the [Start] button, and then click on [Control Panel]. The Control Panel window will be displayed.
NOTE: The steps for accessing the Control Panel may vary slightly depending on the Windows OS and the configuration of the operating system.Double-click on the [Scanners and Cameras] icon. The Scanners and Cameras Properties window will be displayed.
Click on [Add Device]. The Scanners and Cameras Installation Wizard will open.
Click [Next]. A list of manufacturers and models will be displayed.
Click on the [Have Disk] button. The Install From Disk window will be displayed.
Click on the [Browse] button and browse to the folder where the files were extracted.
Click once on the [xscantw.inf] file to highlight the file, and then click on [Open].
Click on [OK]. The TWAIN Scanner will be displayed in the Model window.
Click on [Next].
Enter a new name (if necessary) in the Name field, or leave the default scanner name.
Click on [Next].
Click on [Finish]. The Hardware Update Wizard will be displayed.
Click on [Next].
Enter the [Host Name] or [IP Address] of the printer in the field provided, and then click on [Confirm].
Click on [Next].
Click on [Finish].
In the Scanners and Cameras Control Panel window, right-click on the [TWAIN Scanner] icon and select [Properties] from the menu.
Select any other scan settings from the tabs.
NOTE: Make note of the template name on the Login Setup tab (the name of the template is derived from the user account logged on when installing the TWAIN driver.Click on [OK]. The TWAIN driver is now ready to use with any application that is TWAIN-compliant and supports the file format of the printer.
