NOTE: The machine will display a warning message before the Drum Cartridge reaches the end of its life. When this message is displayed, order a replacement cartridge to ensure continuous operation.
CAUTION: Do not use warm water or cleaning solvents to remove Toner (Dry Ink) from your skin or clothing. This will set the Toner and make it difficult to remove. If any Toner gets on your skin or clothing, use a brush to remove the Toner, or wash it off with cold water and mild soap.
Open the Front Cover.
Open the Bypass Tray.
Lift up on the Cover A release latch, and then open the cover.
Lift up on the Drum Cartridge release latch and pull the cartridge out until the handle on top of the cartridge is visible.
Grasp the handle and remove the cartridge from the machine. Place the cartridge on a few sheets of paper on a flat surface.
NOTE: To return the used Drum Cartridge for recycling, follow the instructions included with the new cartridge. If the instructions or shipping label are not available, click on the [Recycling] link under Related Content for additional information.Remove the new cartridge from the box and its packaging.
Remove the protective sheet from the cartridge by carefully pulling up on the sealing tape.
Insert the new cartridge all the way into the machine, and then push on the cartridge until it clicks into position.
Carefully pull the cartridge tape straight out of the cartridge. Be careful not to break the tape.
Push on the cartridge again to make sure it is positioned correctly.
Close Cover A until it latches, and then close the Bypass Tray.
Close the Front Cover.
