Configure Scan to Mailbox Settings in CentreWare Internet Services (CWIS)

  1. Open a web browser and enter the IP address of the printer in the Address bar, and then press Enter. The CentreWare Internet Services page displays.

  2. Click on the Properties tab.

  3. If prompted, log in as the system administrator.

    Note: The default user is admin (case sensitive). Depending on when the device was manufactured, the default administrator  password may be the device serial number or 1111.

  4. Click on Services > Scan to Mailbox > Scan Policies

  5. Check the boxes for the various policies you want to enable, or uncheck the boxes for the policies you want to disable. Options here include: 

    • Allow scanning to Default Public Folder

    • Require per job password for public folders

    • Allow additional folders to be created

    • Require password when creating additional folders

    • Prompt for password when scanning to private folder

    • Allow access to job log data file

  6. You can additionally modify the password defaults by specifying the following:

    • Minimum Length

    • Maximum Length

    • Must contain at least one number

    • Must contain at least one non-alphanumeric character

    • Must contain at least one uppercase character

    • Must contain at least one lowercase character

  7. Click Apply.

  8. Click on Logout to log out of CWIS.
