Important: When using the printer only as a local printer to a computer via USB, CWIS cannot be used.
Before accessing CentreWare Internet Services, make sure of the following:
The machine is fully functional on the network.
The printer must be configured with an IP address before CWIS can be accessed. Print a Configuration Report to make sure the printer has an IP address and that the HTTP protocol is enabled. See the Related Content for additional information.
NOTE: This solution assumes Microsoft Internet Explorer is being used as the web browser. If other browsers are used, the steps may vary.
To access CentreWare Internet Services:
From the computer, open an Internet browser window.
Enter the IP address of the printer in the Address field and then press Enter or Return. The CentreWare Internet Services window will be displayed.
Click the Jobs, Address Book, Properties, or Support tab.
NOTE: When the Administrator Mode is enabled, the Jobs, Address Book, Properties, and Support tabs are locked until you enter the administrator user name and password.To login as the administrator, enter the administrator user name and password in the fields provided, and then click OK.
NOTE: There is no password set by default to restrict access to making changes in CWIS. If a password has been set by someone and the password has been lost, then see the Related Content for additional information.
