Make Sure the Power Cord is Installed Correctly and Test the Power Outlet

If the power cord does not appear to be fully connected, unplug, and then plug the power cord in again. The power cord connection is located on the left side of the WorkCentre.

Inspect to make sure that the power outlet being used by the WorkCentre is in proper working condition.

  1. Unplug the printer power cord from the power outlet to which it is currently connected.

  2. Plug in a known working device such as a lamp, cell charger, or other similar item to the same power outlet.

  3. Power on the device and determine if the power outlet is functioning properly.

    • If the power outlet appears to be working okay, unplug the device from the power outlet and plug in the power cord from the printer to the power outlet.

    • If the power outlet does not appear to be working correctly, unplug the device from the power outlet and get the power outlet repaired before plugging in the printer again.
