Check the Status of Customer Replaceable Units (CRU's)

To check the status of printer supplies, at the control panel, touch the Supplies tab.

  • The status message for consumable printer supplies indicates Ready, Order New, Replace Now, or other indications.

  • For the remaining amount of toner, the status message displays 0–100%.

When it is time to order or install a CRU, a message appears on the printer touch screen. With some CRUs, the message indicates that the printer can continue to copy or print jobs without replacing the CRU immediately. When it is time to replace a consumable, a message appears on the printer touch screen, and the printer stops printing.

Always recycle or dispose of the used CRU according to the disposal instructions supplied with the new CRU.
