Configure, Modify or Verify the Default Paper Type and Color

You can specify the default settings for paper type and color.

Note: When the paper type and color are not specified for the print job, the system applies default settings.

This setting may be configured at the Control Panel or using the Embedded Web Server (EWS).  Select your preferred method to configure, modify or verify the setting. 

Embedded Web Server (EWS)

  1. Login as Administrator at the Embedded Web Server (EWS). For additional information, click on Access and Login or Logout as System Administrator at the Control Panel or Embedded Web Server (EWS).

  2. In the Embedded Web Server, click PropertiesGeneral SetupPaper Management.

  3. If necessary, click the Default Paper Type and Color tab.

  4. For Paper Type, set the default paper type.

  5. For Paper Color, set the default paper color.

  6. Click Save.

  7. Logout as Administrator at the EWS. 

  

Control Panel

  1. Login as Administrator at the Control Panel.  For additional information, click on Access and Login or Logout as System Administrator at the Control Panel or Embedded Web Server (EWS).

  2. Touch Device.

  3. Touch Tools.

  4. Touch Device Settings> Paper Management.

  5. Touch Paper Type and Color.

  6. Select a paper type from the Paper Type list and a color from the Paper Color list.

  7. Touch OK.

  8. Logout as Administrator at the Control Panel.
