Update the Printer Software

You can update your printer when Xerox releases a new version of printer software or firmware.
Before you begin:
Determine the current software version of your printer.
Download the latest software update from the Drivers and Downloads page. See the Related Content for additional information.
Determining the Printer Software Version
In Xerox® CentreWare® Internet Services, click Properties > General Setup > Configuration.
To verify the software installed on your printer, scroll down to Software Versions.
Enabling Upgrades
In Xerox® CentreWare® Internet Services, click Properties > Maintenance.
Click Upgrade Management.
For Software Upgrade, select Enabled.
There are two methods for upgrading software via USB and in CentreWare Internet Services:
Updating the Software Using a USB Flash Drive:
Copy the software .hd file to your USB Flash drive.
Insert your USB Flash drive in a USB port on the printer.
Touch Print from USB on the touch screen.
Select the file, then touch OK.
When the process is complete, the printer restarts automatically.
To verify that the software has updated, check the configuration report.
Installing Software Upgrades in Xerox® CentreWare® Internet Services
In Xerox® CentreWare® Internet Services, click Properties > Maintenance.
Click Firmware Upgrade.
To locate and select the firmware upgrade file in .dlm format, click Browse or Choose File.
Click Open.
Click Install Software.
To verify that the software has updated, check the configuration report.
NOTE: Software installation begins several minutes after you submit the software to the printer. CentreWare Internet Services is unavailable while the software is installing.
