Install the Phaser 3635MFP Print and Scan Drivers From the Software and Documentation CD-ROM

This procedure describes how to install the print and scan drivers from the Software and Documentation CD-ROM that is shipped with the Phaser 3635MFP. If your computer does not have a CD/DVD-ROM, download the drivers. See the Related Content for a link to our Drivers and Downloads page.   

To install the print and scan drivers from the Software and Documentation CD-ROM:

  1. Load the Software and Documentation CD-ROM into the CD-ROM drive of the computer. The Software and Documentation CD-ROM window will be displayed.

    NOTE: If the CD-ROM does not start automatically, click on the [Start] button, click on [Run], and browse to the CD-ROM drive. Click on [Setup.exe], and then click on [OK].

  2. If necessary, click on the [Language] button, and select a language for the installation.

  3. Click on [Install Drivers]. A list of options will be displayed.

  4. Click on [Install Print and Scan Drivers]. The License Agreement will be displayed.

  5. Read the terms of the agreement, and then click on [I Agree]. The Xerox Print Driver Installation window will be displayed.

    NOTE: The PCL 6 print driver is installed by default. To install the PCL 5 or PostScript print driver:

    1. Click on the [Options] button.

    2. Click to place a check mark next to the required driver in the Driver Selection (PDL) section.

    3. Click on the [OK] button.

  6. Click to highlight the printer in the Discovered Printers list, or enter the printer’s IP address, DNS name, or UNC path in the field provided.

  7. Click on [Install]. The Installing Printer Driver status indicator will be displayed, followed by the Installing Scanner Driver status indicator. The required files will be copied to the computer, and finally an Installation Complete window will be displayed.

  8. Click on the [Finish] button.

  9. Click on the [Close] button to close the Software and Documentation CD-ROM window.
