Remove and Re-insert the Feature Enablement Key (FEK)

  1. Select [Reset] on the Touch Screen. The printer will power off, and then power on.

  2. Remove and then re-insert the Feature Enablement Key into the Card Reader slot.

    NOTE: The Card Reader is located at the rear of the printer, above the USB and Ethernet connection ports.

    NOTE: The gold contact should face toward the left (or right side of the printer).

    The green LED will blink, indicating the card is being read by the printer, and then the LED will remain on continuously. The configuration is successful when the LED stays on without blinking.

    CAUTION: Wait an additional 5 seconds after the LED has stopped blinking.

  3. Remove the key from the Card Reader slot, and then select [Next] on the Touch Screen. The Machine Configuration screen will be displayed prompting you to confirm that the printer has correctly recognized the configuration you ordered.

    NOTE: If the red LED blinks, remove and then re-insert the key. If the problem continues, contact Support.
