Make Sure to Enter a Valid Number of Digits When Entering a Secure Print Passcode in the Print Driver

When sending a secure print job from a computer, the passcode entered within the print driver must be within the range specified within CentreWare Internet Services (CWIS).

For example, if the passcode length range within CWIS is set for 4-12 digits, the passcode entered in the print driver must be at least 4 digits in length and no more than 12 digits.

Secure Print Passcode Length

NOTE: The maximum passcode length is 12 digits and cannot be modified.

To view the passcode length range specified in CWIS:

  1. Open CWIS.

    1. At your computer, open a Web browser.

    2. In the Address field, type the IP address of the printer.

    3. Press Enter or Return.

  2. Click on the Properties tab.

  3. Click on Services on the left side of the page to expand the list of options.

  4. Click on Printing.

  5. Click on Secure Print.
