View the Printer Status Using the Printer Setting Utility

The Printer Setting Utility automatically checks the printer status when a print job is sent. It checks the printer status, the paper size of the tray, and the remaining Toner (Dry Ink) levels. If theprinteris unable to print, the Printer Setting Utility will display an alert that the printer needs attention.

NOTE: The Printer Setting Utility is included in the Software and Documentation CD-ROM that came in the Documentation Packet with the printer.

To open Printer Setting Utility, perform one of the following:

• In the Windows taskbar, double-click on the [Printer Setting Utility] icon.

• Click on the [Start] button, click on [All Programs], click on [Xerox Office Printing], click on [your product], and then click on [Printer Setting Utility].

The status of the printer will be displayed in the General Status window.
