Power ON the FreeFlow Makeready Workstation

NOTE: It is very important that you power ON the hardware components in the order presented below. Make sure there are no diskettes or a CD in the workstation floppy drive or CD-ROM drive.
Power ON the scanner using the power switch on the right side, near the back of the scanner.
Power ON any external peripheral, for example, Magneto Optical Disk (MOD) drive or a Storage Dimensions 8mm Tape Drive, by pressing the power switch located on the front or back of the device.

NOTE: If there is an optical disk in the MOD drive when the drive is powered on, the start-up time is shorter.Power ON the monitor using the power button on the front, bottom right-hand side of the monitor.
NOTE: Make sure the 'Ready' light on the scanner operating panel is green. This will come on following the scanner Power On Self Test (POST) operations, which takes a few minutes.Wait for the green LED light to display on the scanner, and then power ON the workstation. Let the system come up and login when prompted.
To open a FreeFlow application:
From the FreeFlow workstation, click on [Start], point to [Programs], and select [Xerox FreeFlow Software].
Select the application to open. Choices may include the following depending on the software version being used.

Printer Administration
Batch Tool
Document Library
DocuTech Tape Tool
File Manager
FreeFlow Makeready
Job Manager
Library Administration Tool
Library Search
Quick Print
Rescue
Scan and Print
