Automated Photo Specialty Workflow:
The Photo Automation Tool is designed to work with a wide variety of Xerox production color printers driven by the Xerox FreeFlow Print Server, and a range of Xerox partners' photo authoring software, enabling a seamless and automated workflow from customer order through print. Applications supported by this workflow include personalized photo albums, calendars, greeting cards, and much more.
The process begins with the customer, who places their order using an input device such as a kiosk at a store or through the Internet at home. This order is then sent to the FreeFlow Print Server, which places the custom job into an appropriate queue for the Xerox printer. The Tool makes this process simple and easy by automatically selecting the image quality, paper (media), and any other specifications necessary for the customer's order. The job is then printed, finished, and ready for delivery to the customer.
Native JPEG Submission:
The Native JPEG Submission functionality of the Photo Automation Tool eliminates the need to pre-process and convert JPEG images prior to printing. JPEG images are sent either individually or as .zip files directly to the FreeFlow Print Server. Native JPEG Submission allows JPEG image files to be printed via hot folder or drop box, without having to pre-process them through a photo-imaging software program. Each hot folder or drop box corresponds to a predefined queue on the FreeFlow Print Server and is configured to generate a particular image size. Regardless of the number of JPEG images submitted, the printer processes the JPEG images as a single job. This feature also allows index prints to be made with annotations to provide a visual representation of the JPEG images.
